Position Description

Pride Health is hiring an MS/Tele RN to support our client’s medical facility based in Washington, DC. This contract opportunity is a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Responsibilities:

The role of a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (MS/Tele) Registered Nurse involves providing direct patient care to adults with acute medical conditions and those requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care; administering medications; monitoring vital signs and telemetry readings; recognizing and responding to changes in patient status; coordinating with interdisciplinary teams; and educating patients and families about treatment plans. MS/Tele RNs must maintain accurate documentation, follow safety protocols, and use critical thinking to prioritize care. They play a key role in post-operative recovery, managing chronic illnesses, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout hospitalization.

Qualifications:

Rapid Response: Must start by 5/19 - DC license must be in hand to be considered for these start dates and the higher rate. Non-Rapid Response: Pending DC license accepted for later start dates at a lower rate, but MUST have DC license in hand prior to start date***Aya Paid OPEN LICENSE PROJECT**Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend requiredFloat requirement: Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity.Local Rate within 60 Miles of facilityRequirements: - DC RN Licensure- BLS- 2 years of experience: med/surg, MS/Tele, accessing ports, pre/post neuro surgery, peripheral nerve block catheters, chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac- experience with Colostomy care, Feeding tube care and management, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure, IV Therapy, Heparin, PCA, Surgical drains, Portable Oxygen tank, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac and Cerner preferred- Completion of at least 1 prior travel assignmentFacility Information: Type of Facility: Short Term Acute Care; Teaching hospitalTotal Staffed Beds: 402Documentation: Cerner Modified Time:5/19/2025 12:00:00 AM Account Manager: Terri Castro Account Manager Email: COVID-19 Vaccine: Not Required Flu Vaccine: Required - No Exemptions Submittals:Low Submittal Details: #Tier2 Rapid Response ComplianceRTO:Inpatient:RTO during a contract will not be approved for greater than 8 days and this must be scheduled so that the traveler can still work his/her full 36 hours/week.RTO in between the ending of one contract and the beginning of another will not be approved for greater than 7 days.
